Silk that comes from silkworms whose diet specifically consists of only mulberry leaves. Silk mostly contains proteins called fibroin and sericin. Proline in sericin prevents water loss and is rich in moisturization that offers skin elasticity and anti-wringling properties. Silk is also resistant towards the growth of mold, mildew, and fungi, besides being the most hypoallergenic fabric

The quality of silk is graded A, B, or C and is assigned a number, which ranges from 1 to 6. Grade 6A is the highest quality of silk and it comes in a pearly white color.

Silk is measured in units called momme. Momme is similar to thread count; the higher the momme, the higher the quality of silk. We picked 25 momme for the best thickness, softness, and smoothness for our products.

Coloring silk is a very sensitive issue due to potentially harmful chemicals. The natural color of mulberry silk is pearl white. We pick silk that has been tested and certified by Oeko-tex standard 100 to be free from harmful chemical substances during coloring.
